NerdLacquer- Oi, Spaceman

* Partially purchased and partially gifted from a friend.

They may not be my first Nerds, but they’re just as exciting.  I have three Doctor Who themed polishes for you today in the form of the Oi, Spaceman collection.  Can we just take a minute to appreciate Donna, she is in my top three companions of all time.  I love her sass.  I can honestly say I’ve wanted these three polishes since before I even knew what Doctor Who was.  I found Nerd Lacquer on Etsy and added everything she made to my favorites list, and I would stare at they’re beauty for hours.  Yeah, her polishes were part of the reason I started making my own.

Regeneration is a bright orange with tons and I mean TONS of glitter.  It kind of makes me want to weep when I look at it. It reminds me of my beloved 10 not wanting to go, and my 11 who’s going in December.  Please excuse me while I shed silent tears. Luckily for us all this color is bright and cheerful, and perfect for Summer and Fall.

I did three coats of this stunner and it dried relatively smooth for a glitter.  Removal was a pain even with the foil method, but I got through it. I can't stop staring at this orange even in pictures it's mesmerizing.  I'm so happy to be able to say this polish is mine, it's been at the top of my wish list for about two years.

When I think of the Weeping Angels I get a little shaky and very excited, just the idea that any statue can be one is terrifying.  Of, course that's just one of many irrational fears. Don't Blink is the palest of greys with silver and grey glitters.  Stunning and slightly scary at the same time, I like it.

It's simple, stunning, and a two coater.  You can't get much better than that.  Removal was a breeze with this. I think this is a pretty good representation of one of my favorite villains. My other favorite villain is also the inspiration for the last polish in this trio. Based on Daleks Exterminate is the perfect bronzey brown with gold and blue glitters.

Until very recently Nicholas Briggs (voice of the Daleks) saying "Exterminate" was my text notification. It always gave me a little thrill when it went off.  I know, I'm weird like that.  If you're interested my current text notification is the TARDIS landing.  Can we just take a minute to stare at the depth of this polish? And this is only two coats, I love the glowing from within look it has.  It makes is my favorite non holographic brown ever.

You can buy NerdLacquers on her website, but they're often sold out in minutes. I was super lucky and checked Facebook at just the right time and snagged four of my long time lemmings.

For info on restocks and other such things you can like her on Facebook, and she's on Google Plus as well.

*Disclaimer: I was given one of these as a gift, but bought the other two with my own money.  I was not paid or sponsored in any way for this review and all opinions are my own.

Avon Cosmic Nail Polish- Radiant

*Purchased by Me

I've loved Avon for a LONG time.  My grandma and mom were both Avon ladies, and I considered doing it for a while too.  There was also a period of time that the only nail polish I wore was Avon, but that was years ago.  I recently started ordering things here and there and my most recent Avon book had some new Cosmic themed products.  I picked up a couple eyeshadows and a few new polishes.

This new cosmic collection of nail polishes has ten colors in total, and all of them have the same shimmery holographic finish.  The one I have today is a bright shimmery pale gold called Radiant, and after trying this color, I can't wait to get my hands on more.

I used three coats of Radiant and it dried to a fairly shiny finish, but I added a coat of topcoat for more shine.  What's great is that the top coat didn't alter the holographic qualities like it does with some.  I do wish that there were more linear holographic qualities to these polishes. They're pretty, bu they just aren't up to par with some of the indies out there, but at 6.99 a bottle the price isn't too bad.  There's almost always a sale going on as well.

You can buy Avon online here, and find a representative near you here.  Have you tried any of these?  If you have what did you think?  If you haven't, do you think you would?

*Disclaimer- I bought this polish with my own money and all opinions are my own.

Butter LONDON Part Two: Give Me Some Shimmer

*Purchased with my own money

Last time I did my Favorite and only Butter LONDON creme polishes.  Today, I've got a few of my favorite shimmers and glitters.  I have three lovelies to show you today, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Wallis was my first ever Butter LONDON. I saw it in a blog post and I knew it had to be mine.  I say that a lot, but in reality when I set my eyes on something I try my hardest to get it.  Wallis was no exception.  I tried to dupe it and no matter what I tried I couldn't get it right.  I did create a lovely color to wear underneath Wallis so you don't use as much., but that's about it

Look at that color! I'm just going to sit here and drool on my keyboard for a minute.  I'm so in love with this polish there are no words to describe it.  It's olivey and darkened gold.  It's stunning, and in this case pictures do a pretty good job of capturing it.  I used three coats to get full opacity with a nice coat of top coat for shine.

Bluey was a color I had wanted for ages.  I'm a blue lover and this was the perfect blue for my collection.  I had nothing else like it, and hadn't seen anything like it either. Blue but with a distinct turquoise shimmer. Love!

Bluey is a tad on the sheer side.  This is three coats and there's still some nail line showing.  I wear this over a similar color so I don't waste it.  I'm stingy like that.  I really love the shimmer in this polish it's so smooth and silky, and the blue just envelopes you.

Scuppered is the glitter of the bunch.  It's a unique kind of tanish peach with bits of green.  It's really quite a pretty color, but if you try to describe it, it sounds yucky.  There's a mineral called Unakite and this is the nail polish version.  I've really been into browns, oranges, and bronzes recently and this color is perfect.  I think it's my inner Autumn lover showing.  I really am not a Summer person, and I can't wait for Autumn to be here.

This color went on like butter and shimmered relentlessly.  I used three coats, and could have gotten away with two, but I wanted super full coverage.

You can find Butter LONDON on Facebook, Twitter, and their Website.

Digital Nails Dig Deep

*Purchased by me

I saw Mishka over at Accio Lacquer do a review of this color and I knew it had to be mine.  I do love the combo of grey and pale aqua glitters.  So gorgeous, and the inspiration? Diamonds from Minecraft.  I'm not a player of Minecraft, Lord knows I have too much on my plate to start playing a game that I just know I'll be addicted too.  I have one of those personalities.  My brother and my two nephews have been trying to get me to play for well over a year now, they also were trying to get me into dubstep.  That actually happened.  I like to listen to dubstep while I'm making my polishes. It's cathartic. Try as I might, I just can't get my brother or nephews to wear nail polish or watch Doctor Who, but if there were ever a chance to get them to wear polish, it would be this one.

Can you see the pretties? So gorgeous.  I put two coats over Eloquent Dust,  as soon as I saw this polish I knew that was going to be my undies for this mani. Dig Deep has a very sheer grey base that I wouldn't try to get full coverage out of.  It's just too sheer, but this makes for a great topper.  I can't wait to wear this when my brother comes over just to see what he says.  He thinks the idea of me blogging about nail polish to be a little silly.  If only he knew.

You can find Digital Nails on Facebook as well as Etsy
