I've released my new collection into the world. The Gender Bender's collection is now available on my Etsy site. It's 14 polishes all with obscure men's names. I can't upload pictures right now because of internet issues (what else is new). When I do get better internet, look out, there will be tons of great pictures of the new collection.
In other store news, I've had to cut international shipping on nail polish. I'm hoping this isn't a permanent thing. I have to do tons of research and to find a legal and cheap way to ship. I still ship everything else in my store internationally, there aren't any problems with that. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to comment below.
So, this has turned out to be a rather short post, but that's because of the internet. I have gotten an estimated date of installation. I should have much better internet starting on July 12th-14th, or at least I hope I'll have it by then. Hopefully I'll be able to blog more soon, and about more entertaining things.

Happenings
Since moving I realized a couple things. I depend on the internet way too much and there are far too many bugs at this new house.
I knew what I was getting into with the internet, and I was still surprised by how much I need it. We had thought after a few months of saving we would upgrade, but we've given in after less than two weeks. What we currently have is horrible, I can only manage to stay online for a few minutes and it's super slow. That's why I haven't gotten much done with updating my store. My internet won't let me.
Now onto the bugs. It seems like every time I walk into my room there's some new bug. Before we moved in there were instances of the world's largest hornet, and a bumble bee. Both met their makers by being crushed with boxes from moving. Since we've moved in I've noticed some moths, other weird flying bugs, a stink bug (gross), and even a couple ants. Overall, it's not as fun as it sounds. I love the quiet of living in the woods, but bugs are not my forte.
Other than that, life is starting to get back to normal. I still have way too many boxes in my room, and most of that is because I'm lazy. I packed most of my stuff up in March and April, and I haven't needed it since so why unpack it. Part of it is also caused by my utter lack of storage. Sure my room is literally twice the size of my previous room, but there aren't any shelves, so it all has to stay in boxes.
All of my supplies for polish making never got packed, they rode over in the car with me. Which has been great because I've been working on finishing my newest collection. I've called it "Gender Benders" because each polish is named after a man. When I finally get my new camera, I'll do a post about each color. I love this collection, and I made myself a complete collection to keep. I don't normally do that. I did for my Doctor Who collection (for obvious reasons), but this one has so many great colors I just couldn't help myself. I'm wearing one right now called Reginald. It's a beet red jelly base with yellow small square glitters, gold, orange, pink, purple, hot pink, and yellow micro glitters. I'm planning on getting this collection up and running in early July. It was supposed to be early June, but with moving and all the internet problems I've pushed it back a month. To tide you over, there's a huge sale going on in my store right now. Buy any two polishes and get a third for free. There is a limit of five free ones per customer. http://www.etsy.com/shop/LynBDesigns?section_id=10991064

Moving Day!
The day has finally come, I get to move. I'm only moving about a half an hour away from where I live now, but let me tell you it hasn't been easy. It literally taken months to get things all figured out, and even now we're still rushing to get our beds moved.
In honor of this huge move I'm having an awesome sale in my Etsy store. For a while I've had buy three polishes get a fourth free. Well, I've bumped that up to buy TWO polishes get a third free. I've put a five free polish limit on this sale just to ensure I still have some inventory when I'm done. This sale lasts until the end of June, and all you have to do is put the names of the polishes you want for free in the buyer comments when you check out. Go check out my Etsy store: http://www.etsy.com/shop/LynBDesigns?section_id=10991064

Love VoxBox
Several months ago I signed up for a sample program called Influenster. You earn badges based on what you like and how you live your life. Then they choose to sent you a box of products to sample and review. I have received a total of three Vox boxes and have not been disappointed. Also, the Influenster program is FREE!
The most recent one is the Love Vox Box. It features from great products, and here's a video so you can see what I got in my Vox Box. Influenster sent me these products free for the purpose of review.
I have since used or eaten all of the products mentioned in the video, and here are a few things I have to say. First off that of the five products in the box I loved four of them.
-The Stash tea sampler was exquisite, you couldn't ask for better flavors. When used in conjunction with the Truvia sweetener it's even better. I think my favorite flavor is the peppermint, but I also love the general fruitiness of the teas. I don't normally like fruity teas, but this sampler has given them new life. The Truvia as mentioned before is awesome. It's even better than sugar when it comes to sweetness, and it's just about as healthy as you can get for a zero calorie sweetener.Visit Truvia here: www.truvia.com
-The Ghirardelli chocolate was divine, much like it's name. It don't really like a strong chocolate flavor, so this was perfect. It was a great pick me up for the dreary day we had when I got my box.
-I tried my new razor today as well. I finally remembered to put it in the shower. I couldn't even tell I was shaving, it was so smooth and easy to use. After just one use, I'm in love. I thought there could be no better razor than my Shick Intuition, but this Venus proved me wrong. I love it, and will be buying more cartridges when this one runs out.
-The last product in the box were the Kiss nail strips, I'm guessing that they were riding the high from the Sally Hansen nail strips. When I got these I hadn't tried either brand, but I really wanted to give them a try. They were fairly easy to apply and they looked cute, but they came off way too easily. There was no way I could have kept them on for the ten days claimed on the box. I love the patterns and the color available, but I just can't see these working as a long term manicure. I think they would be a great quick fix if you needed a pop for a night out.
So, that's what I have to say about my most recent Vox Box.

Get Noticed
So, day one of trying to get my Etsy store noticed. I've been open for almost 6 months now and so far things haven't been that great. I thought adding a YouTube channel would be the thing, but sadly no one want to watch videos about an Etsy store unless you're giving things away. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE giveaways, but I can't afford to have one just so people will look at my store. I hope this new series of posts will get more people to notice my store and the whole Etsy site in general.
Here's a link to a video that gives you an idea of what I sell in my store:
Okay, so not just a link, but my actual video. How cool is that?

So that's all for now. I'll post a review tomorrow.

Something New
When I first started making lip balms I had a hard time pouring it into the tube. I tried straws but they just got clogged and the same thing happened with droppers. I had resigned myself to struggling with it, when one day i walked into a thrift store and there was the perfect device for pouring. It had a spout of sorts with an open top and a handle that could stay out of the hot water I use for melting. So I paid the 53 cents and have been loving the device ever since.
I went on Etsy to check my store's activity and there on the front page are two of the same things I use to pour lip balms. They're Turkish coffee pots. I never in a million years would have guessed that. Pretty cool if you ask me. So since this post was about lip balms, I'll post a link to my new lip balm video on YouTube.
