Not Too Polished Does Doctor Who

*Sent to me with the purpose of review

So, who else is broken up about Matt Smith leaving his position as Doctor?  I know I am.  I try to not get to invested in the television that I watch, but Doctor Who has wriggled it's way into my heart.  My family even noticed I was a bit sad after I read the news.  That normally doesn't happen to me.  Either way, there's nothing I can do about it, as much as I wish I could make him stay on for a few more series.

In other news, It's my birthday as well as my Oscar's birthday.  He was destined to be my cat, we were born on the same day.  Sometime when I don't have polishes to review, I'll tell you the story of how I got my Bubby. My mom is actually working on making a children's book out of it, but that's a long way off at this point.  She's also currently working on her Master's Degree and making her own nail polish line.

I think I've rambled enough for one blog post, BTW I'm writing this in the middle of an insomnia filled night.  I started tired, but when I finally got to go to bed the tiredness was gone. So onto the polish.

Oi, Spaceman
I love Donna, she had such sass. Her polish is much the same.

Look at all the purple, pink, magenta, fuchsia glittery awesomeness. There are no words for pretty floating around.

All of that gorgeous glitter including gingery looking ones are suspended in a gorgeous red toned purple jelly base.  Yeah, that was a bit of a mouthful.  I did three coats and am in love with the results.

I would like to just take a minute to drool over the glitters in this polish.  Application was wonderful, and there was no staining to report.

That's Ood
Shimmery white glitter bomb, definitely oodiful.

I love the glitters in this polish, there's gunmetal, pale green, and even a little pink.  When you layer it with a shimmery white base it really transforms them, so you get a whole rainbow on your nails.

This color is kind of sheer, but there's so much glitter that three coats is pretty much opaque.  I'm wearing three coats with no undies and I'm pretty happy with it.  I can see this looking great over a myriad of colors.

This color makes me want to watch all the Ood episodes again. Oods aren't my favorite, but I'll watch them every once in a while anyways.

The Pandorica Opens
With a name inspired by one of my all time favorite episodes, I was already partial to this polish.

Oh this color. Dark, mysterious, almost a little haunting kind of like The Doctor himself.

I love that this has a deep almost mossy aqua color with tons of micro shimmer and larger aqua hexes.  So gorgeous.  The description for this says that it's a holographic polish, but was able to get any holo goodness to appear.  Maybe if there's a super sunny day, which never seem to happen unless I'm out for the day with no sunglasses. Then it's a no brainer for it to be sunny.

Application with this was gorgeous, this is just two coats.  I love a polish that's two coat to full coverage.  I usually do three just for good measure, but this was good in two coats.

You can find the Doctor Who collection here on Etsy, and you can find Not Too Polished on Facebook.
